Hi, I’m Cait — a self-proclaimed food fanatic, communications student, and lover of unique, off-the-beaten-path restaurants. Commentate It Cait started as a passion project to combine a few of my favorite things: writing, food, storytelling, and travel. I’m currently studying Communications, and I love using what I’ve learned to turn everyday experiences — like trying a new dish or walking into a tucked-away diner — into something more meaningful and memorable.

I’ll be honest: I’ve always been a bit of a picky eater. But that’s exactly why I started this journey — to challenge myself to try things outside my comfort zone and grow my tastebuds along the way. I believe there’s something special about the local spots most people overlook. Sure, chain restaurants are familiar and easy, but the true gems — the stories, the flavors, the people — are almost always found in local eateries and hidden neighborhood favorites.

At Commentate It Cait, I use a “Third Time’s the Charm” approach. I don’t believe in writing off a place after one visit or hyping it up after one great night. Every restaurant gets three visits - individually ranked - before I give my final overall ratings. It’s my way of being fair, consistent, and thoughtful — because food is personal, and every experience tells a different story.
